Michael Jackson Lisa Marie Presley: How did Donald Trump help MJ to date Lisa Marie?

Michael Jackson has been married twice – with his first marriage really hitting headlines. It was to Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis, who had just split with her first husband. And as it turns out, the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, may have had a hand in their courtship.

According to Donald Trump, Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley spent some time with him on a holiday before their marriage.

In 1994, People magazine reported comments from President Trump about a time when the couple stayed at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, near the end of 1993.

According to the president, the couple were “holding hands and talking until the wee hours” despite having separate bedrooms.

Evidently, the President was good friends with the couple, even hosting them at the park on New York’s Trump Tower after they announced their marriage.

According to Randy J. Taraborrelli’s book Michael Jackson: The Magic, The Madness, The Whole Story, 1958 to 2009, Michael proposed to Lisa Marie in late 1993, meaning it could be that some time at the President’s estate did the trick.

The couple married in May 1994, just 20 days after Lisa Marie and her previous husband Danny Keough divorced.

Following this, the pair spent some time in the summer of 1994 at Trump Tower, where their relationship continued to grow.

A source told the New York Post in 1994, speaking of Michael and Lisa Marie’s time at Trump Tower: “They hold hands, kiss and cuddle, stare into each other’s eyes and look out at the stars together.”

Clearly, in an unlikely turn of events, President Trump and the couple were close for a time, and the president aided them in getting together.

President Trump and Michael Jackson’s friendship has been well documented in the past, with his son, Donald Jr, even telling a story of when the President gave the singer one of his video games.

In his book Triggered: How The Left Thrives On Hate And Wants To Silence Us, Trump Jr said: “One day in Eric’s [Trump, Donald’s middle son] room, my father saw how much Michael enjoyed playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with us on Nintendo and told him he could take the game home.

“My game! To this day, Eric says it was his game because it was in his room, but I know whose game it was.

“I’d worked a summer job to pay for it! And here was Michael Jackson, probably a billionaire at this point, and he took it!”

Michael, as Donald Jr explains, would come over and play video games as he was a neighbour to the Trump family in New York.

However, Donald Jr tried to use this as an example of why his father is “not a racist.”

He continued by mentioning “all the things my father has been called, particularly a ‘racist,’ it sure sounds odd that he’d let his son … hang out with Michael Jackson, doesn’t it?

“If he’s a racist, he’s sure not very good at it.”

What President Trump and Michael Jackson’s friendship means aside, clearly the president helped his friend to become close to his first wife.

Michael and Lisa Marie divorced in 1996, after two years together.

Lisa Marie married twice more after Michael, while Michael married Dabbie Rowe, with whom he had two of his three children.
