Kate Middleton wore a stunning red bardot dress when she attended a garden party in honour of the Queen’s birthday in 2017. Kate’s outfit was designed by Alexander McQueen and cost more than £2,000.
Now, Marks and Spencer is selling an almost exact duplicate for just £28. The bright red maxi beach dress matches Kate’s off-the-shoulder neckline and is sure to make a statement with broderie detailing and scalloped edging on the sleeves.
Just like Kate’s, the dress cinches you in at the waist for an extra flattering silhouette.
The dress is available to buy now in sizes six to 24.
Shoppers are delighted with the dress. One woman said: “Lovely red dress. Love the style, can wear off the shoulder. Very happy with this dress.”
Another added: “A lovely beach dress, loved the embroidery, sized down to an eight and it fits just right.”
Marks and Spencer is also selling a slightly more expensive pure cotton version of the dress. The £49.50 broderie tiered dress has a flattering midaxi length which falls just above the ankles.

The versatile dress can be dressed up with heels or down with sandals or white trainers.
When Kate wore the dress in 2017, she accessorised with nude Prada heels and drop earrings by Simone Rocha. She wore her hair down in loose curls and opted for natural makeup.
Since then, Kate has recycled the Alexander McQueen dress to celebrate her mum Carole Middleton’s 64th birthday in 2019. The celebration was thought to be held at her sister Pippa and brother-in-law James Matthews’ Chelsea home.
At the time, Kate added the same earrings but opted for matching red heels.
