Kate Middleton is no stranger to mixing things up when it comes to wearing designer and high street fashion.

However when The Duchess of Cambridge is spotted wearing a high street brand you can bet ears prick up even quicker with fans desperate to grab a piece of royal style for less.

On Sunday Kate took part in a video call from her home in Kensington Palace to mark the end of the Hold Still digital exhibition in which she has been the patron.

Looking cosy and chic for the Zoom appearance, The Duchess wore a cornflower blue cardigan from Boden, and her new 'Gold Mistle Kiss' earrings from one of he favourite jewellery designers Catherine Zoraida.

Featuring curved mistletoe leaves to form a delicate hoop shape and with a reasonable price tag (for the royals) of £180, they would certainly make the perfect Christmas present.

The wool-blend Abercorn Scallop cardigan comes in at a price friendly £75, and a good selection of sizes (6-22).

This classic item is a great addition to any winter wardrobe. Not only is it a flattering shade of blue ideal for brightening up dreary days, the cute scalloped collar is right on trend for the season and gives it a lovely feminine finish.

No doubt we will see the Duchess dressing up this versatile piece at a later date or wearing other pieces from the brand. The Duchess is a big fan, she was spotted in their Viola dress and Aurora Midi dress earlier in the year and looked sensational.

Cardies are having a bit of a fashion moment so it's no wonder the royal style icon has snapped one up.
