Penny Lancaster has shared how she lost over a stone in eight weeks after turning to comfort eating during lockdown.
The Loose Women star confessed that going through the menopause while being restricted due to the coronavirus pandemic, had caused her anxiety and stress.
But within two months of "shaming" herself with pictures to turn around her bad habits, the 49 year old wife of Sir Rod Stewart, 75, lost 17lbs through a healthy diet and exercise.

The mum to Alastair, 14, and Aiden, nine, shared a before and after image of her stomach on Instagram explaining that lockdown had a huge effect on her.
"During the lockdown I found myself entering my menopause and the side effects were exaggerated by the anxiety and fear for the virus and the unknown.
"I turned to food and drink as comfort and gained over a stone. As a wake up call I shamed [myself] by taking a photo. It worked and with a new diet and exercise, I lost 17lb and 4in off my waist in eight weeks!"

Penny then went on to share an example of the type of food she had been eating, with an omelette full of peppers, spinach and bacon cooking in pan.
"Today's brunch. A LITTLE of what you like is alright," she wrote as the caption.
Penny had opened up about her lockdown struggles back in August as she appeared via video link on Loose Women.
She said that she had become so angry at one point she become so angry she threw a meal across a room.
"I was in the kitchen, it had been one of those days where everything had been going wrong.
"I ended up throwing the dinner across the kitchen. I just screamed and burst into tears. The boys came and hugged me."

Penny's weight loss comes after she enjoyed a trip to Venice with Sir Rod, following the easing of the coronavirus travel restrictions.
She no doubt indulged on the delicacies Italy had to offer as the pair took in the sights.
The TV host shared snaps of the couple, who have been married since 2007, on a gondola, on a yacht and Penny sat on a stack of books.
