"Very proud of how this ep turned out. Long live #Stainie @tanyafranksruns," Ricky wrote on his Instagram alongside a behind the scenes snap of him in character with co-star Tanya Franks wearing their wedding gear.

In real life, Ricky has been married to his wife Samantha since 2016, and the couple share their daughter Beatrix.

After moving in to their plush abode last year, the couple have been hard at work sprucing it up over the past few months.

During lockdown they revealed the results of their daughter's bedroom makeover which is painted in a pink-orange shade with orange drapes over her bed.

Her room is also dotted around with stuffed animals which make the perfect guests for afternoon tea, which dad Ricky is only too happy to join in on.

Sharing a snap of him sat with his daughter in her room back in January he wrote: "Got back just in time for tea."

Samantha has been busy when it comes to decorating their home, sharing snaps of their kitchen makeover.

She took to Instagram to reveal how she had painted over her wooden cabinets with cream on the top and royal blue on the bottom.

The interiors fan also added patterned tile stickers in between, writing in the captions of the results: "I spose I better get used to having some blue on my feed. I have finished! And I’m also exhausted. I can’t even go for a wee on my own so I don’t know why I thought I could decorate a kitchen with a 2 year old me and @rickychamp2 have been in here every night for a week."

She added: "I’m so pleased with how it’s turned out (swipe for the before photo!) it’s amazing what 2 tins of paint, some new handles and some tile stickers can do! It’s gone from being a room I hated being in to one I love!"

Over in their bathroom the couple's space looks right out of the page of a interiors magazine or even a hotel.

They've opted for a white subway tile design with black grouting along the bottom half of the wall, as well as patterned floor tiles.

The standalone bath tub creates a hotel vibe and their walk-in shower adds a touch of luxury.

Samantha has also dotted several green plants around the room and joked in one Instagram post: "How many plants is too many plants? Asking for a friend."

Elsewhere in their own bedroom Samantha and Ricky have kept similar neutral tones with a cream carpet, mint green walls, pale pink accents in the curtains and ornaments.
