Harry Styles was overjoyed with the response to his latest film, so much so that he embraced his co-star, Nick Kroll.

The superstar recently attended the Venice Film Festival for the first time, where his latest movie Don't Worry Darling was premiering alongside his co-stars Florence Pugh, Gemma Chan and Nick Kroll.

Following the premiere, the cast received an eight-minute standing ovation as they all appeared to be overwhelmed by the response.

Harry, 28, was grinning from ear to ear as he thanked the crowd for their warm reception before spotting his pal who was seated just a few seats away from him.

After walking toward one another, Keep Driving singer Harry offered a huge smile as he wrapped his arm on Nick's throat before the pair locked lips.

Laughing after their brief moment, the pair soon embraced one another in a hug which received a large cheer from the packed movie theatre.

Following a brief conversation, Nick jokingly patted Harry on his lower back as they turned to face the crowd once more.

The moment which has since gone viral sent Harry's legion of fans into a frenzy as they flocked to social media, with one exclaiming: "Losing my mind right now," alongside a snap of Harry and Nick kissing.

"Still laughing at this, I love them," said a second.

Before a third added: "Ahahaha, this is gold."

"This is the funny sh*t ever, I love this OMG [sic]," typed a fourth.

While another commented: "What a time to be alive."

Following the viral moment, Nick took to his Instagram in view of his 1.1 million followers sharing snaps from the event including a snap of Harry and Nick's wife, Lily Kwong.

The pair appear to have struck up quite the friendship since meeting on the set of the film which is set to hit UK cinemas later this month.

In recent weeks, Harry was keen to address the speculation surrounding his personal life, explaining that he has never been in a "public" relationship but admitted it can be quite unsettling to see his loved ones become the target for internet trolling.

While Harry may have been promoting Don't Worry Darling, it's not the only movie he has out this year as his second film, My Policeman is slated to be released on October 21.

The former One Direction singer stars alongside The Crown actress Emma Corrin and David Dawson in the 1950s-inspired film.
