Big news. Jaffa Cake gin is officially a thing and it looks SO delicious. Orange you glad you started reading this article?
The brand new gin combines two timeless classics and is distilled with oranges, fresh orange peel, cocoa powder and real-life Jaffa Cakes. Drool.
And yes, we know, Jaffa Cakes can be a bit of a love ‘em or hate ‘em snack, but even if you don’t purchase it for the taste, buy it for the awesome bright and bold bottle.
The new tipple can also be purchased as part of a Jaffa Cake Negroni Cocktail Bundle, which will allow you to create moreish cocktails at home.
Selling for £27.95 from Masters of Malt, the Jaffa Cake gin will capture all of the senses, donating scents of zingy orange (marmalade-esque) to the nose, as well as whiffs of vanilla-rich cake and earthy chocolate.
However, to the important part – the taste! Just expect Jaffa cakes really – the flavour resemblance is uncanny. There’s a nice balance to the gin and, for those who aren’t too sure, the flavour never oversteps the mark so you won’t be overwhelmed.

Overall the gin, which is delicately sweet, does exactly what it says on the tin… or the bottle, as it were.
Suffice to say, it's no surprise people are raving about the eccentric new product which, we’re sure, will be gracing many an isolation pub quiz Zoom night.
Reviews on the Master of Malt website include one highly satisfied customer calling it “heaven in a glass.”
Another wrote: “This didn’t disappoint those tingling taste buds! Not too sweet which is what I was afraid of, very tangy, great jaffa cake taste to it not just orange flavour. Defo one for the top drawer!” [sic]
A third even went as far as calling it the “best gin [they’d] ever had,” adding: “Tastes exactly like a Jaffa Cake! Will be purchasing more ASAP.”

A fourth person penned: “Already on my second bottle, can’t get enough,” and a fifth added: “Do you like Jaffa Cakes? Do you like gin? If the answer to both questions is yes, then you must buy a bottle as that's what's inside it! A smooth and easy drink, and very more-ish, too!”
If you fancy making a negroni with the scrumptious gin then you’ll need 25 millilitres of the tasty Jaffa Cake-y stuff, 25 millilitres of Campari and 25 millilitres of Martini Rosso sweet vermouth.
Next, pop the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and give it a good shake. Strain it into an ice-filled tumbler and garnish with an orange peel if you’re feeling fancy. Or, even better, pop a jaffa cake on top!
