Clever slow cooker hack allows you to cook two different meals at same time

Slow cookers are some of the handiest kitchen appliances out there.

You can leave your ingredients to bubble away all day as you work or get other tasks done.

Then when dinner rolls around, simply take the food out and you’re good to go.

The only drawback of this method is it can be difficult to cook multiple different elements at the same time.

But thankfully, there’s an easy way to get around this problem.

On Facebook, a foodie revealed you can prepare different meals at once by using slow cooker liner bags.

After successfully making butter chicken and beef massaman curries, they headed to the Slow Cooker Recipe & Tips group to rave about the hack.

The foodie wrote: “I tried the oven bag idea and I love it! So easy!

“Placed all ingredients in respective bags, set and forget for four hours on auto.

“[The] chicken and beef were both cooked to tender – easiest way to get out the bag is to pour into a jug and then serve.”

Facebook users can’t wait to try out the slow cooker trick.

The post garnered 600 likes likes and plenty of positive comments too.

One responder gushed: “Sounds like a great idea for someone who is single and wants to make multiple smaller meals!”

Another said: “This is what I do as my slow cooker is 6.5L and there’s only two of us!

“This way I make different meals & also save on electricity.”

And a third added: “Omg thats a great idea. So doing that next time saves washing up.”
