A selfie-snapping vet who bagged a photo with the Google Maps surveillance van five years ago has been caught on camera by the van again – in almost the exact same outfit.
Student Charlie Tewson, 32, was on a lunch break outside the surgery where he works when he spotted the Google Maps surveillance van in the street back in 2015.
He took a funny selfie video with the Google van as he ran to catch up with it – and enjoyed viral fame after he ended up appearing on Google Maps.
Hilariously, the exact same event has now happened again five years later.
Charlie was on another work break in November 2020 when he caught sight of his old friend, the Google camera van, again.
He saw his chance and struck a second pose for the van, and has now become an internet sensation all over again.
This time he can be seen pictured outside Waterstones in Wokingham, Berkshire.
He celebrated this one by throwing his arms into the air in joy, and he can even be seen sporting almost the exact same clothes.
Charlie, from Wokingham, who still works at Denton Vets, the same surgery, said: "I couldn't believe my luck when I saw the van again.
"I don't know anyone else who has seen it as it only seems to come past each street once every few years."
He added: "I saw the van reflected in a shop window and immediately abandoned the friend I was with to catch up to it and strike a pose.
"I probably should have taken another selfie but I thought I would shake things up a bit."

He went on: "I love that I've made it onto Google Maps twice! I always like it when you're on the website and see people having fun with it.
"I'm surprised that there aren't more people doing ridiculous things when the van comes past – it's very obvious!
"It is strange that I'm on it in two places at the same time. Fingers crossed that I see it a third time!"
