Best horse racing tips: Back this 18-1 shot at Ascot before price plummets plus other value bets for Saturday

SUN Racing is back to give you some insight on big horses at even bigger prices.

Here, we try to find the value bets which could net you a tasty return from a small stake.

Longshot

NOT SO SLEEPY (3.35 Ascot)

Ascot is a real horses for courses track and Hughie Morrison’s eight-year-old has won on both visits.

He’s got plenty of quirks as he showed when unseating at Newcastle last time but he was fourth in the Cesarewitch before that so has a touch of class.

Returning to his favourite course can do the trick and he’s a big price to hit the placings.

Each way thief

CHIRICO VALLIS (2.05 Haydock)

Top young rider Kevin Brogan takes a valuable 7lb off this eight-year-old who has come right back to his best this season.

He scored at Bangor before following up well at Ffos Las. He topped those efforts when second in good company last time. Heavy ground suits and he won’t be far away.

ENQARDE (2.40 Haydock)

Dr Newland has done well with this six-year-old who has finished first and second on his two UK starts since moving over from France.

They were both over hurdles and he switches to chasing now where he has been successful on the other side of the Channel. He has little weight and stays well so could make an impact.

Aside from these, SunSport resident tipster Templegate has picked a horse in each race on Saturday.
