TOWIE star Mike Hassini is charged with supplying cocaine

Former The Only Way Is Essex star Mike Hassini has been charged with intent to supply cocaine, the Metropolitan Police have confirmed to OK! online.

The 26 year old was arrested on 16 April in Emerson Park, Havering, Essex, after being allegedly caught with the class A drug, and he remains in custody at Pentonville Prison.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson told OK! online that Mike was charged with "the supply of cocaine and possession with intent to supply class A drugs."

He was also charged with "conspiring to acquire, use, and possess criminal property."

Mike appeared at Barkingside Magistrates' Court on 19th April and was remanded for a further hearing.

He will appear at Snaresbrook County Court on 17th May for a plea and trial preparation hearing.

A second man, aged 23, was also charged with supply of cocaine and conspiracy to possess criminal property, whilst a 26 year old woman who was arrested on suspicion of intent to supply a class A drug has been released under investigation.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police told us: "Two men have been charged in connection with the supply of Class A drugs as part of an investigation by the Met's Specialist Crime Command."

According to MailOnline, Mike could face up to 14 years in prison if he is found guilty for the two offences.

Mike joined the cast of the hit ITVBe show in 2015, but was axed a year later after just two series, making brief appearances again in 2017 and 2018.
