Lydia Bright has opened up about the "very tough" struggles of being a single mum and admitted she didn’t know how she was going to do it by herself in the beginning.
The former TOWIE star’s comments came during a Q&A on her Instagram Stories as she answered questions about her adorable 15-month-old daughter, Loretta.
Replying to a fan who asked, “Does single parenting ever get easier? I’m 11 weeks in and struggling this week x”, Lydia candidly spoke about her own struggles with loneliness and exhaustion, as she shared a snap of herself looking emotional when her daughter was only a month old.
The 30-year-old wrote: “I promise it gets easier, the newborn stage is beautiful but also very tough.
"This was a picture I sent my mum when Loretta was one month old and I was to upset to answer the phone.
"I was home alone, during a pandemic with a screaming baby that wouldn’t settle.
"I was exhausted, lonely and thinking how on earth am I going to do this by myself.”
Lydia then shared a video taken 15 minutes later, which showed her mum Debbie Bright “coming to the rescue”.
Talking to the camera, Lydia said: "Loretta today you are one-month-old. Look at the black bags you’ve given your mother, and my spots.
"I used to be a good looking person but you’ve turned me into this. And today your grandma has had to come to the rescue because…"
Debbie cut in: “Because you won’t get off the boobie. You’re a very very bad girl.”
Lydia added: “All you want is boobie. Very very greedy.”
Lydia shares Loretta, who was born in February 2020, with her former boyfriend Lee Cronin.

The couple met in Ibiza in June 2017 but split in January 2019. They later decided to get back together and try for a child, but Lee ended things 11 weeks into Lydia’s pregnancy.
Back in April 2020, the mum-of-one admitted that the pair had decided to “try to make a go of things” again, but later that year they split for good.
She admitted before their split: “I’m just not worrying. You never know what the future will hold and while having this baby by myself initially was a big fear, I know now that I’m capable of doing it if it doesn’t work out.”
Lydia does have support from her former partner and previously revealed Lee sees his daughter “every weekend”.
