Matt James was just revealed as the new Bachelor last week and there are already a lot of applicants to be on the show.
During his interview with On Air With Ryan, Rob Mills revealed there have been over 6,500 of them.
“[It’s a] record-setting pace,” Rob says of just how many applications they’ve received in just five days. “People love this guy. It’s great.”
He also mentioned that they’re hoping to start filming Matt‘s season as soon as they wrap up Clare Crawley‘s Bachelorette one.
“We’re hoping to start on time which will be the end of September and we’ll see where the world is,” Rob says. “Hopefully that’s when we would be at The Bachelor mansion.”
They’ll also be conscious of if there will be a second major coronavirus wave around the world.
“Maybe there’s some travel. Maybe it’s just domestic. Maybe it’s by bus, but we’ll see,” he adds. “If not, if things aren’t that safe, we’ll shoot it the same way [as Clare’s] where everybody is safe; they’re tested; they’re quarantined; and then you can have kissing, arguing and everything else.”
If you didn’t see, Rob revealed new details about how things will be filming for Clare‘s season here.
