Yet more extremely extra royal tea is being spilled thanks to historian Robert Lacey’s new book Battle of Brothers—this time about the Queen’s decision to have Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stop using the word “royal.”
In case you need a refresher, the Queen reportedly “banned” the Duke and Duchess from using their “royal” titles after they stepped down from senior royal duties, prompting them to release the following statement:
And now Robert Lacey is out here reporting that the Queen basically didn’t trust Meghan and Harry with the title:
Of course Meghan and Harry are still members of the royal family and have retained their Duke and Duchess titles as they live in California with their son Archie. And while Battle of Brothers has dusted off a lot of drama, here’s to hoping things are less tense in the royal family these days!
