The Pretenders lead singer Chrissie Hynde, who is in lockdown at her home in London, shared her experience of being in quarantine while others appear to ignore the social distancing rules.
“I see people older than myself walking past on their walking sticks and I think ‘God bless you bro.’ Then there’s the boy-racers in their flash cars speeding up to the traffic lights – I see them and think ‘You asshole!’ I go from compassion to hatred with nothing much in the middle. Same as always,” Hynde wrote on Facebook.
She expressed doubt whether the band’s tour with Journey will go ahead.
Hynde added that one thing that really lifted her out of a moment of darkness was hearing the new Bob Dylan track, “Murder Most Foul.”
She ended the post by saying, “I feel optimistic knowing that if my cooking doesn’t kill me, nothing can.”
