No one does sidewalk street style quite like Rihanna.
From spring pastels to quasi-sleepwear, the Barbados-born singer has been busy reminding us that celebrity fashion isn’t dead. Most recently, she was spotted at Giorgio Baldi, a posh Italian restaurant in Los Angeles, offering a foolproof template on how to achieve a vampy, all-black look.
Required materials include a glossy miniskirt with symmetrical cutouts and a sweeping hooded duster coat—both items courtesy of Rick Owens. Rihanna upped the ante, too, by complementing a crop top featuring ties crisscrossing over her abdomen with lace-up pointed-toe heels. Finishing the look, she wore a cross-body Bottega Veneta pouch, geometric statement earrings, and black-and-white rings.
Last week, the fashion and beauty mogul teased fans about the tantalizing possibility of dropping new music. On Instagram, Rihanna posted the cover art for her 2016 album, Anti, in celebration of it achieving five years on the Billboard 200 chart. She is the first Black woman artist to achieve that milestone.
“Grateful to the most High for putting die hard supporters in my circle 🙏🏿,” she wrote in the caption. “💪🏿 congrats to everyone that contributed to this era, thank you team.”
In the comments, a fan wrote, “Celebrate by releasing a song !!”
Rihanna responded simply, “I think I should,” followed up by, “just 1 tho lol.”
“I am always working on music,” Rihanna told Entertainment Tonight last summer, “and when I am ready to put it out in the way that I feel fit, it’s gonna come out. And you’re not going to be disappointed when it happens. It’s going to be worth it. I’m not just gonna put it out just because people are waiting. It’s taken this long, I’m gonna make it worth it.”
