Princess Charlotte praised for being poised following Kings Coronation

Princess Charlotte has been described as "posied" and the Royal Family's "secret weapon" following last weekend's Coronation.

The young Royal, who is the only daughter of the Prince and Princess of Wales, aka Prince William and Kate Middleton, had all eyes on her as she attended the Coronation of her grandfather King Charles, and his wife, Queen Camilla on Saturday, May 6.

The eight year old wore a gorgeous white embroidered custom-made Alexander McQueen cape dress and flower crown which matched those worn by her mother, Kate Middleton.

Columnist Angela Mollard said the young royal was "poised yet enthusiastic, watchful but involved" throughout the Coronation weeknd.

She told 7News: “With all the focus on the new King and Queen, the Princess of Wales’ effortless glamour and the new royal wave introduced by Prince Louis, one person was overlooked in the pomp and pageantry of the Coronation.

“She is only eight, a spare and not an expected heir, but Princess Charlotte has revealed herself to be the Royal Family’s secret weapon.

“For now, the third in line to the throne is enjoying a playful normal childhood but if, as expected, she does turn out to have the work ethic and the chutzpah of Princess Anne, along with the style of her mother and grandmother, the royal family will be counting their blessings.”

On Saturday, Prince William and Kate Middleton's PR team delivered a slick new clip, posted to their various official social media accounts – which was a compilation of the Coronation.

The video shows some scenic pictures of London and Kensington Palace before cutting to the inside of a very regal looking room.

Kate and William's adorable youngest son, Prince Louis, five, is the first of the family to enter the clip, as he walked into the room looking pensive, before Charlotte, entered.

The Wales' two youngest children could be seen beaming as they looked out of a window in a scene that is sure to capture the hearts of the nation.

Next, Kate could be seen entering the room, looking as elegant as ever in her Royal Victorian Order mantle and flower headpiece, before Prince William – heir to the throne – walked in wearing his Order of the Garter mantle.

The family – seemingly excluding Prince George, nine, who was a page for the King – were then seen exiting the Palace before being driven away.

As the music swelled, the video showed clips of the historic day, including crowds celebrating the Coronation and the many servicemen in their roles.

Prince William and Kate, and all three of their children, were then captured in their royal carriage as they made their way to the Abbey.
