“Even Dr Hilary piled in, and he’s a doctor! He said, ‘at least I’m not overweight,’ and cackled like Jack Nicholson in The Shining.
“And Kevin Pieterson calls me ‘Seven chins’, which isn't very nice. I’m trying to get them down to six.”
Piers then opened up to The Sun Online about his new regime.
He said: “I’m going to see a new personal trainer, and unfortunately Celia's taken it all quite seriously, so suddenly it’s all the good stuff’s gone and all the kale’s come in and the quinoa and vegetables.
“A lot of vegetables. A lot of salmon.
“A lot less Bordeaux – I’m down to one glass a night.
“And, well, during the summer, a lot of cheese went down my gullet, and and it could stretch to a bottle of red. Quite comfortably.. Depending on the quality, and maybe a little more.”
Piers jetted off to the South of France with his wife Celia and his four children.
The GMB star’s holiday apartment was robbed the morning before they were due to leave to come back to the UK.
After Piers’ wife revealed the traumatising event, Piers shared further horrific details.
He said: “It was very orchestrated, and just very unnerving.
“I saw a drone flying over and hovering a couple of days beforehand. They were clearly doing a recce of the villas.

“Apparently they follow you back from Club 55, see you flash your watches, and then clean people out.
“I had no idea at the time. We got up as normal the next morning, and Celia said: ‘Why’s my bag out here? It was in the bedroom.’
“She looked in the bag and a lot of stuff had been taken. They found my briefcase which happened to have a lot of money in it which I hadn’t spent because everywhere you can use cards.”
He added: “They took more than ten grand — that was in euros and Pounds and some dollars
“So once they got a bundle of cash, they took that and jewellery, and didn’t take anything else.”
