Olivia Rodrigo‘s debut single “drivers license” just debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart!!
Not only did the 17-year-old’s new track hit the charts, it hit with a huge bang – number one.
According to Billboard, the song also “sports the best first-week streams for a proper first single by a female artist.”

“drivers license” is the 1,116th No. 1 in the Hot 100′s 62 year history, it’s the 48th single to debut at No 1 and it’s the first No 1 debut of 2021!
The hit song’s first week has seen 76.1 million U.S. streams and sold 38,000 downloads in the week ending Jan. 14. It marks a “new weekly best for a female artist’s first single properly promoted to radio, streaming services and other platforms.”
Just a year ago, Olivia‘s song “All I Want” from High School Musical: The Musical: The Series season one debuted on the Hot 100 chart, and peaked at No 90.
