A livestream tribute to late Rush drummer Neil Peart set for Saturday, September 12, will feature some of rock music’s most prominent drummers.
The Police‘s Stewart Copeland, Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ Chad Smith and Foo Fighters‘ Taylor Hawkins are just a few of the drummers set to take part in the event.
The tribute is part of the Modern Drummer Festival and will be available to watch on LiveXLive.com and Fite.tv beginning at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT.
Tickets for the pay-per-view event cost $12.99, with proceeds benefiting brain tumor research at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Peart died of a brain tumor in January.
In addition to the drummers mentioned above, the event will also feature Dream Theater‘s Mike Portnoy, Korn‘s Ray Luzier, Def Leppard‘s Rick Allen, Cindy Blackman-Santana, and Anthrax‘s Charlie Benante, among others.
