Mark Wright has paid tribute to best pal James Argent after the star recently celebrated reaching 11 months of sobriety and staying clean from drugs.

Radio DJ Mark, 33, commented on Arg’s recent Instagram post, telling his former TOWIE co-star that he “worried about [him] every day” during his battle with drug addition.

He wrote: “I am beyond proud of you Arg. I was so worried about you every day, you gave me constant anxiety, to be 11 months sober is incredible for somebody that was in such a dark place.

“Nobody who is not a drug addict will EVER understand what an addict goes through. Ultimately I am so proud of you.”

He wrote: “A year ago today on my birthday I was rushed into hospital after a near fatal drug overdose.

“Today I’m over 11 months clean & sober, If I can achieve this in 2020 with everything against me then I believe I can achieve anything.

“Thank you for your love & best wishes. I will continue to make my Family, Friends & supporters proud of me. Love Arg.”

He added: “Ps Whenever I feel down or depressed I listen to @thebeatles & it makes me feel better!”

Back in October, Arg and his mum Patricia appeared on Loose Women to discuss his battle with cocaine addiction.

Patricia said: “Oh it was absolutely devastating. I've never gone public. This is really big thing for me. I support my son the way. We have to rejoice in that.
