Liam Gallagher reaches out to Scottish fans as lockdown restrictions ban booze

Liam Gallagher was seen reaching out to his ‘brothers and sisters’ in Scotland following confirmation of new lockdown restrictions banning alcohol.

In order to tackle a rise in the number of coronavirus cases in the country, Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has imposed new rules that have curbed the sale of booze in pubs and restaurants.

A ‘circuit breaker’ lockdown will come into force from Friday until the end of October and bans the serving of alcohol indoors.

The 16-day curfew will only allow pubs, restaurants and other hospitality venues to open from the hours of 6am and 6pm on the condition that the don’t serve alcohol.

Under the new rules, venues in Scotland will still be able to serve alcohol outdoors up until the current 10pm curfew that is in force across Scotland, England and Wales.

As news of the ban broke, Liam was seen sharing his thoughts on Twitter and told fans his ‘heart goes out’ to those having to go tee-total indoors in Scotland.
