Khloe Kardashian Calls Tristan Thompson a Great Dad Although Hes Not the Guy for Her

When addressing her breakup with the NBA star, the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ alum reveals that she felt ‘incredibly safe in the beginning’ of their relationship.

AceShowbizKhloe Kardashian may no longer date Tristan Thompson, but she proves that she has nothing against him. Despite acknowledging that the NBA star is “not the guy” for her, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” alum called him a “great dad” for their daughter True.

The 37-year-old addressed her split from the athlete when speaking to “Good Morning America” co-anchor, Robin Roberts, during “The Kardashians: An ABC News Special”. She first shared, “I think at the end of the day all of us just aspire to have blissfulness… We want to be happy and we want to feel safe. With Tristan, I did feel incredibly safe in the beginning, and I felt really good for a time.”

“I remember when he cheated on me right before I gave birth [to True] and I was able to still have him in the delivery room,” the Good American founder continued. “It might have looked strange to the outside world, but when my daughter watches my home videos, those videos are going to be as pure and perfect as I was able to make them.”

Khloe went on to note, “I still think he’s a great guy and a great dad.” The younger sister of Kourtney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian then added, “He’s just not the guy for me.”

Khloe had dated Tristan on-and-off for years. They called it quits for the last time after the basketball professional player confirmed that he is the father of Maralee Nichols’ son despite previously denying it.

Tristan himself issued a public apology to Khloe for his infidelities. “Khloe, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you,” he said. “You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years.”

“My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think,” the Chicago Bulls further explained. “Again, I am so incredibly sorry.”
