Hip-Hop superstar Kanye West has indicated that he will soon be joining the 2020 presidential race.
“We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States! #2020VISION,” West tweeted.
The tweet has received more than 1 million likes within days and has even evoked responses from a wide variety of personalities, including the CEO of SpaceX & Tesla Elon Musk, who wrote, “You have my full support!” in response.
This marks the second time that the “Famous” singer has claimed to be running for president, as he previously mentioned the possibility of the same during the Fast Company Innovation Festival in New York City.
“When I run for president in 2024, we’re going to definitely — yo, whatchu all laughing at?” he had said. “When I run for president in 2024, we would’ve created so many jobs that, in fact, I’m going to walk.”
Meanwhile, West is gearing up to release his 10th studio album, God’s Country, sometime this year, with its lead single, “Wash Us in the Blood,” released last week.
