Joe Wicks apologises for major blunder during live P.E lesson: ‘I’m so sorry’

While Joe Wicks, 33, was hosting his live P.E lesson this morning for families all over the world, the presenter apologised for “interrupting” the high-intensity work-out. After the Government closed all UK schools due to the coronavirus lockdown, fitness coach Joe, has been hosting P.E lessons for families to do on weekday mornings from home.

I can’t believe that. I’m so sorry.

This morning, while Joe was demonstrating the fourth exercise in the work-out, he said: “This is exercise number four, we have six more exercises.”

Soon afterwards, the coach’s camera battery “cut out” leaving the video to go black.

Once the host had replaced the batteries, Joe returned to people’s screens and apologised for the disruption.

Joe said: “We’re back, we’re back! I can’t believe that. I’m so sorry.

“The battery cut out, I’ve had to quickly change the batteries, I’m sorry.”

While trying to start the next exercise, the presenter then went on to say: “We’re back, let’s go back one.

“We’ve just done the Lionel Messi’s.”

Joe continued to be apologetic, as he added: “So sorry for interrupting guys! That’s live TV for you.”

However, regardless of the disruption, viewers still continued to join in and do their daily workout.

One wrote on Twitter: “Please tell me it gets easier in time,” while another added: “My seven-year-old and I have been doing #PEWithJoe every morning – great way to start the day and get into a positive mood.”

Another even commented: “We did a family pe with joe timelapse too and had lots of fun watching it back.”

Many who joined in with the lesson this morning commented on how they are “loving” the workouts everyday, on Joe’s video.

Soon after the fitness guru launched his series of videos, Joe donated all the money earned through his videos to the NHS to put towards the equipment needed to treat patients from COVID-19.

While speaking to Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain recently, Joe said: “I’ve been pulled in every direction because I want to reach as many people.

“I am not superhuman, I have days where I wake up feeling low and flat but I always use exercise to lift my mood.”

Joe then continued to say it “doesn’t matter if you’re fit, superset or unfit” as he explained: “That’s what this workout at 9am is going to do.

“Doesn’t matter if you’re fit, superset or unfit, you’re going to move your body, get your heart pumping and you’re going to leave feeling more optimistic.”

“That’s what we need more than ever.

“There are parents and families, for the first time ever getting up and exercising”, the P.E coach concluded.
