After basically keeping us all well-fed while in lockdown, chef Jamie Oliver has taken a hot minute to bask in the sunshine this week.
The celebrity foodmaster and father-of-five took a moment to catch up with a chum on Sunday, seemingly after returning to the city as schools slowly began to open again around the country.
Acing the lockdown look we’re all rocking right now, the 45-year-old emerged from his swanky abode dressed in the isolation uniform of t-shirt and shorts as he engaged in a chat in the driveway.
He added a pair of Birkenstocks to really bring home the idea that Sunday is a day for relaxing, as he leaned on a car.
Jamie has been pretty busy over the past few months making sure we’re not starving or exclusively subsisting on a diet of lettuce and bread crusts, adding some stupidly easy recipes to our arsenal as of late.
Through his series, Keep Cooking And Carry On, which airs on Channel 4, as well as videos posted to his Facebook and social media, the man has stopped the rumbling tums with everything from roast beef sandwiches to two-ingredient pasta and perhaps the most mouth-watering cheese toastie we’ve ever laid eyes on that right now has our keyboard covered in saliva.
His kids have even made adorable appearances, with three-year-old River helping out with a batch of hot cross buns.
While some parents are more than likely ready to skip town than deal with another home-schooling session, Jamie appeared to be in his absolute element amid lockdown.
Recently the star shared a selfie with wife Jools and their genetically-blessed brood, Poppy, 18, Daisy, 17, Petal, 11, Buddy, nine, and little River.
He wrote on the April shot: ‘All of us in a photo for once, normally I can’t keep track of everyone and some ones being moody but I managed to grab a whole team Oliver pic.’
He signed off: ‘Sending love to you all xxxx.’
Jamie also shared a sweet tribute to Jools, while also evidently proving that even famous people are suffering from the same kind of coupledom cabin-fever gripping the nation.
In a series of images posted to social media, he told his followers: ‘This girl drives me up the wall!! but I love her to bits.
‘She is as mad as a hatter won’t stop cleaning but she’s a gem and a good girl and now she’s my camera lady doing this daily show on my phone, anyway but love everyone sending positive vibes to all you cooks out there joxxxx (sic).’
