FKA Twigs Elaborates On Claims Of Abuse By Shia LaBeouf

FKA Twigs elaborated on her claims of abuse by her ex-boyfriend Shia LaBeouf in an interview on the podcast “Grounded with Louis Theroux.”

FKA Twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, filed a lawsuit against LaBeouf in Los Angeles last month, accusing the actor of “relentless abuse” during their former relationship, including sexual battery, assault, and infliction of emotional distress.

In the podcast uploaded on Monday, Twigs told Louis Theroux that she felt “scared and intimidated and controlled” by LaBeouf, and she “wasn’t allowed to look men in the eye.”

She said LaBeouf, 34, tried to exert control over her every movement through “grooming” and “the pushing of your emotional and spiritual boundaries.”

Twigs, who met LaBeouf on the set of the semi-autobiographical movie Honey Boy in 2018 and dated him for nine months, says it was an emotionally draining abusive relationship.

Twigs described LaBeouf as “the worst person ever.”

The 33-year-old Brit Award nominee said she wanted to reveal more about her experiences “because it is something in society that’s a really big problem and it’s really common, but for some reason, we don’t talk about it.”
