Dr Alex George has revealed he'll "never get over" the tragic death of his brother Llŷr.
The 27 year old's younger brother sadly took his own life after losing his battle with mental health earlier this year.
Now, former Love Islander Dr Alex has opened up on how he's been coping since losing his brother as he told Lorraine on ITV on Monday morning: "I felt tremendous guilt instantly.
"You know, I'm the older brother, I always wanted to protect him, look after him. I thought, 'What could I have done differently? I'm supposed to be a mental health advocate and all the work I've done around it.'
"So it was anguish. It was the worst thing. Mental health and physical health is akin. Just as you can have a heart attack and pass away, mental health is just the same. It is an illness. That's why it's so important we treat it that way."
The star went on to explain that he'll simply never fully recover from the loss as he said: "I have to live my life before as after it happened and I realised that I'll never get over this."
Speaking on how his parents have been coping, Alex explained that they are still devastated and are in shock.
"It's tough, really tough. You bring someone up their whole life, till the age of 18, 19. They did an incredible job. They looked after us incredibly well. You bring them up to that age and you're ready to let them move on to the outside world…" he added.
