Demi Lovato: I Did Not Really Get to Learn About Myself While Dating Wilmer Valderrama

When discussing about love, addiction and survival in a new cover profile, the ‘I Love Me’ songstress admits that she and her ex-boyfriend were no longer in each other’s lives.

AceShowbizDemi Lovato is offering an insight into her past relationship with ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama. Four years after calling it quits with the “NCIS” actor, the “Sorry Not Sorry” hitmaker admitted that she was not able to learn about herself throughout their six-year romance.

Featured on the May cover of Harper’s BAZAAR, the 27-year-old shared her thought when asked about her ex’s engagement to model Amanda Pacheco. “I’m really happy for him and I wish him nothing but the best, but we’re not in each other’s lives, haven’t spoken in a long time,” she at first confessed.

The Mitchie Torres of the “Camp Rock” film series went on to note the positive side of their current situation. “But I think I needed that because I needed to learn to be okay on my own,” she stated. “When you get into a relationship with somebody at that young of an age and then you spend six years with somebody, you don’t really get to learn about yourself.”

During the profile interview, the ex-girlfriend of Joe Jonas has also talked about what she really looks for in her suitors. “People always ask me, ‘What’s your type?’ And I’m like, ‘Have you seen my history?’ There is no type,” she explained. “It is solely off connection. I wish I could say, ‘I only date attractive people.’ But I don’t.”

Having identified herself as bisexual, the “Skyscraper” singer did note that she won’t be limiting herself to specific ideal. “When I imagine my life in the future, I don’t say, ‘I’m looking for a man who I want to have two or three kids with.’ I think it could be so much fun to share children with a woman,” she spilled. “So I don’t know what my future will look like, and I’m open to anything.”

While she is open to love, fans won’t find her on dating app Raya since she could not get back on using the service. “I just deleted it out of respect to the person I was with, then we broke up and I went to get back on,” she recalled adding that she got rejected by the exclusive app. “And I was like, ‘You know what? It’s fine. I don’t need to be on this because I think I’m supposed to be alone right now.’ “
