Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and producer Greg Kurstin shared the seventh installment in their “Hanukkah Sessions” video series, offering up a cover of The Knack‘s “Frustrated.”
“Tonight we’re featuring 4 nice Jewish boys whose biggest hit was a song about a nice Jewish girl… ‘My Shalom-a’ or something like that… We’re huge fans of New Wave (as well as the ‘old wave’ that came after Moses parted the Red Sea) so we are psyched to present…The Knack!” the duo said in a statement.
Grohl and Kurstin had been celebrating Hanukkah for the past week by recording eight songs by eight famous Jewish artists on each night of the Festival of Lights.
The video series kicked off with The Beastie Boys classic “Sabotage” last Thursday at the beginning of the Jewish festival.
It was followed by covers of Drake‘s “Hotline Bling,” Elastica‘s “Connection,” Bob Dylan‘s “Rainy Day Women #12 & 35,” Peaches‘ “F**k the Pain Away,” and Mountain‘s “Mississippi Queen.”
