Danny Dyer has hit out at Love Island after his daughter Dani's relationship with co-star Jack Fincham didn't last.
The EastEnders star slammed the hit ITV dating show during an appearance on BBC Two's The Ranganation, explaining that he thinks Netflix's rival series Too Hot To Handle would have been a better fit for his 24 year old girl.
Confessing he would have preferred Dani to wait and sign up for the new reality series, which sees singletons compete to win a $100,000 prize by resisting the urge to kiss or have sex, he said: "Yeah, and also, the show's a pile of s**t, Love Island, so that was the other thing I was worried about.

Speaking about the aim of the new reality TV show, the 42 year old continued: "I can see what they're trying to do.
"Sort of trying to do all this spiritual connection stuff, but I would have thought you need quite intelligent people on the show to have some sort of spiritual connection."
Danny's daughter and Jack were viewer favourites until they announced their split back in April 2019 after a 10-month romance.
At the time, 29 year old Jack, who recently welcomed his baby girl Blossom into the world, revealed in a statement that he and Dani "really tried" to make their relationship work following their previous breakup in December 2018.
Confirming the news in a statement shared to his Instagram story, Jack wrote: "There is no easy way to say this and it isn't going to be an easy time but me and Dani are not in a relationship anymore.
"We will always care a lot for each other and I mean that from the bottom of my heart and I wish her nothing but happiness.

"We have some amazing memories together and have been through a lot but sometimes things just aren't meant to be and we really did try and make it work but unfortunately didn't and that is life.
"That's all I have to say, a break up is hard enough as it is for both of us let alone in the public eye so I hope everyone is considerate and understands this. X" [sic]
Since then, Dani has enjoyed an on-and-off romance with Sammy Kimmence, 23, who she dated before going on Love Island.
