Busy Philipps Celebrates Non-Binary Daughter While Kicking Off Pride Month

The ‘I Feel Pretty’ actress, who came clean about Birdie’s sexuality months prior, also brags about the 12-year-old’s contribution to the LGBTQ youth community in Los Angeles.

AceShowbizBusy Philipps has kicked off this Pride Month with a special tribute to her non-binary daughter. Taking to social media, the “I Feel Pretty” actress celebrated Birdie by boasting about their generosity.

Making use of Instagram on Tuesday, June 1, the 41-year-old shared several pictures of her and the 12-year-old kid. She began her caption, “Today is the start of PRIDE MONTH! I have so much pride for this kid and everything they are and do! The t-shirt I’m wearing is by @thehaasbrothers x @citizensofhumanity in honor of Pride 2021 and 100% of the retail selling price of every t-shirt sold will be donated to LA’s LGBTQIA+ center!”

“The @lalgbtcenter has been incredibly helpful to my family in the last several years,” the proud mom added. “One incredible thing Birdie did last year (that I would like to brag about right now) is that after seeing all of the beauty products that I was sent by brands that went unused or given away, Birdie decided to start gathering the unopened makeup and hygiene items from me and other influencer types(actors, singers, makeup and hair artists) to donate to the @lalgbtcenter for the queer and trans youth that the Center provides a safe space for.”

“Well. Thanks to many of my friends, Birdie was able to donate HUNDREDS of items to the center,” the wife of Marc Silverstein concluded. “swipe to see how much we dropped off last year for Pride month! And a special thanks to @karimabay @yasharali @thebeachwaver @kmannmakeup @kikihaircutter and ALL of the wonderful friends who donated! HAPPY PRIDE MY LOVES!!!”

Phillips, who also shares 7-year-old daughter Cricket Pearl with her screenwriter husband, revealed Birdie’s sexuality in December 2020. When hosting her “Busy Philipps Is Doing Her Best” podcast at that time, she divulged that Birdie is gay and has changed their pronouns into they/them.

“For those of you who are my friends listening at home, this is the first you’re hearing that Birdie is gay and out,” she spilled. “Birdie told us at 10 years old and we immediately… I mean, obviously, I knew that Birdie knew.”
