Bill Bailey, 55, will return to the dancefloor alongside Oti Mabuse, 30, for Strictly Come Dancing 2020 this evening. The legendary comic has opened up about his “tough” week as he revealed a major breakthrough with his dance partner.
Bill has certainly been put through his paces as he continued rehearsals with Oti earlier this week.
The latter took to her Instagram stories and quizzed the actor on how he has been feeling during the competition.
Oti asked: “Just finished rehearsals. How was it? How was this week?”
Bill replied: “Today’s been brilliant because we had a proper breakthrough and nailed the routine.
“But it’s been a tough week. I struggled for the first couple of days to get [the routine] into my bones.”
He went on to praise his dancer partner Oti, who he branded the “greatest teacher”.
“But of course when you’ve got the greatest teacher eventually it’ll go in. Which is what’s happened,” Bill remarked.
It comes as the pair are taking to the dance floor to perform a Couple’s Choice Quickstep routine to Rapper’s Delight by the Sugarhill Gang.
Oti agreed: “It was an amazing, amazing week though. An incredible week.”
Bill explained: “It’s a brilliant routine. Very joyful and happy.”
Oti said: “It’s very you. You don’t get any, ‘Shoulders, frame, legs!'” referencing the Strictly judges’ comments.
Bill replied: “No, none of that. It’s very grooving.”
