Ashley James reveals she’s spent most of the day crying as pregnancy leaves her ‘very emotional’

Ashley James has opened up about her pregnancy struggles with fans, sharing a lengthy post on Instagram in which she admitted to spending, “most of the day crying” and saying: “my emotions are knocking me for six at the moment.”

Alongside her post, former Made in Chelsea star Ashley shared a snap of herself in the bath with a sign saying it's "OK to have a bad day’.

The 33 year old also shared a video of her calming bath, adding a heartfelt caption explaining how “it’s OK to feel how we feel.”

“Always promised I’d be open and honest about my pregnancy journey, and at the moment I’m very emotional,” the DJ and influencer began.

“I’m doing all the right things like meditation, breathing, gratitudes… But I still feel very emotional.

“I think there’s a lot of change for all of us to process so add pregnancy on top of that… It’s a lot. But it’s OK to feel how we feel.

“It’s easy to feel guilty because other people have it worse, or because we are lucky to be pregnant (or whatever else it is for you)…

“We can know those things and still feel our emotions. We just have to keep doing what’s good for us, and know that good times lie ahead.

“Crying is good. Feeling your emotions is good. It’s just a bad day, not a bad life.”

The next day Ashley updated fans as she headed to The Mummy MOT for physio and a pelvic floor assessment, saying she felt “a lot brighter today after a good cry.”

“Morning guys I feel so much better than I did yesterday. I think… sometimes you need to have a good cry and embrace and accept all your emotions,” she said.

She also revealed she’s been keeping a daily journal of all the things she’s grateful for in a ‘365 Days of Gratitude’ diary.

“Best way to start the day. I never used to get writing down your daily gratitudes, as it seemed a bit airy and I was like as if that does anything,” she wrote on Stories.

“But it’s scientifically proven to help you fight your natural negative bias in your brain.”

“You start to see the positive things around you rather than focus on your failures or things you don’t have.”

Later, she seemed in even better spirits after her treatment, which targeted her pelvic girdle pain, sore hip and back pain.

“They massaged out loads of tightness. It’s definitely the best thing I’ve done throughout my pregnancy,” she told her followers.
