Don’t come for Andy Cohen‘s realm!
The Most Talkative author popped up on Tuesday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live with a very pointed critique of fellow TV talker Howie Mandel.
Of course, Mandel is in the news right now after hosting a bizarre, meandering 80-minute interview with Vanderpump Rules star Tom Sandoval this week. But the Deal Or No Deal star wasn’t very well prepared for it, admitted he wasn’t following the affair drama with Raquel Leviss and Ariana Madix, and gave Tom a seriously soft landing spot for their long chat. Fans nearly universally hated the Howie Mandel Does Stuff debacle at the time, and now, Cohen is weighing in on it, too!
The Bravo exec hosted Saturday Night Live star Cecily Strong and Real Housewives of New Jersey veteran Melissa Gorga on Tuesday night’s episode of WWHL. The trio talked VPR throughout the ep, and Andy couldn’t resist getting at least one dig in on Howie!!
During the show’s “Jackhole of the Day” segment, the 54-year-old Cohen set his sights on the 67-year-old Mandel. Andy started the memorable moment by saying this:
“Tonight’s Jackhole goes to the fact that Howie Mandel apparently didn’t know what he was getting himself into with his interview of Tom Sandoval today. Because it seems like maybe he didn’t do his homework?”
Yikes!
And then, before signing off from the show at the end of the night, he capped his take on the TomTom owner’s turn on Howie’s podcast with a piece of advice for Mandel:
“Now both Sandoval and Howie are being dragged on social media. Howie, you have to be careful before you take a side. Bravo fans are very passionate. … Howie, you’ve gotta binge Pump Rules, dude, you’ll thank me later. And then do the interview again!”
Seriously! Just, like, know what you’re talking about before you interview someone! Seems obvious to us??

Of course, Howie has been getting called out online by fans for his apparent ignorance to everything Vanderpump Rules. The podcast host admitted straight from the top of Tuesday’s bombshell interview that he didn’t watch the show and wasn’t up on the drama. He also appeared not to know who several VPR characters were when Tom mentioned them. How TF do you now know who Scheana Shay is, dude?!
Howie’s disastrous reveals of ignorance left fans wondering, well, why book the interview then??? A fan actually asked Andy to bring Howie on WWHL soon to explain the brutally bad podcast, but it seems like Cohen is not down for that:

Howie’s hang-ups here are all about public perception, though. Not great, but fixable. Theoretically…
However, the one with real problems following the Howie Mandel Does Stuff chat is the 40-year-old cover band frontman. As we reported late on Tuesday night, Bravo execs are absolutely seething at Tom right now for (a) jumping the gun and doing a non-Bravo interview before production could air the rest of this wild VPR season, and (b) not telling anybody at Bravo that he was going to chat with Mandel.
That’s not good!!
