Amanda Owen unrecognisable in unseen wedding pic as she and husband talk 20-year age gap

In a special episode of Our Yorkshire Farm, Shepherdess Amanda Owen, 46, and her husband Clive, 66, shared an unseen wedding picture from their big day with viewers. The couple tied the knot in 2000 and have since gone on to have nine children together.

On their big day, the Channel 5 star opted for a bardot floral design wedding dress with a matching necklace. She completed her look with a white veil and silk gloves.

Clive stood out in a navy patterned waistcoat, a maroon coloured cravat and a black suit.

In the snap, Amanda’s spouse could be seen looking at something in the distance, while she stared lovingly at their horse.

The couple share nine children together; Annas, Violet, Edith, Raven, Clemmy, Nancy, Reuben, Miles and Sidney.

Amanda, Clive and their children all feature on their popular show Our Yorkshire Farm.

It was the couple’s respective love for farming which first brought them together.

The farmer said he was “very taken” with his now wife when she first knocked on his door.

The mother-of-nine added of their relationship: “It was a slow burn thing we kind of got to know each other.

“[We] made friends first then went out a little bit together.

“With us both coming from non-farming backgrounds we were kind of peas in a pod really but we didn’t know that at the time.”

The Shepherdess previously surprised This Morning viewers as she revealed she gave birth to eighth child Clemmy at the side of a road.

She said: “I put the kettle on, stoked up the fire and basically had her in front of the fire with just a terrier as a birthing partner, which is perfect.”

When the presenters Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary burst out laughing, she added: “Honestly, don’t knock it, it’s great.”

Amanda went on to say her spouse wasn’t fussed about missing the birth as he’d see their seven kids be born previously.

She went on to say: “The point of the matter is he had been at seven births previously and we spend our whole lives dealing with birthing things, so it wasn’t exactly something that I was particularly bothered about.

“I did it myself and I’m very happy and pleased that I did.”

The farmer also gives fans an insight into their life on the farm on Twitter.

Earlier this month, she slammed a claim that bird flu had ripped through her farm.

In a recent episode, the Shepherdess’ son Miles said he was “worried” about their free range chicken’s health and took them inside.

In response to a concerned viewer, she replied: “Honestly it is absolute rubbish.

“Never had or got flu and it was bird flu that the media referred to.

“All that happened was that we had to keep the chickens inside for a while.”
