Alesha Dixon has finally explained why she kept her pregnancy with baby Anaya a secret from her friends and family.
The 41 year old, who welcomed her second child back in August 2019 and is also mum to Azura, six, revealed there are many explanations for her decision to keep it under wraps for six months.
Speaking on Giovanna Fletcher's Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, she said: "I think that at the time the thinking was because Azuka and I had been together for a long time I hadn't put it out and it wasn't that we were hiding from any particular reason."

Alesha's private relationship with her dancer husband Azuka Ononye, 39, who she also shares six year old Azura with, lead her to take on the same approach with her pregnancy.
She continued: "So, the first thing was, well no one even knows we're in a relationship and now I’m pregnant…
"How are we going to get around this? We’ll just hide it."
Alesha, who recently shared an adorable workout video of herself using little Anaya as a weight, explained she didn't think it would be right to tell people she was having another baby when no one knew she was in a relationship so she decided to wait.
She said: "I don’t want to say 'I’m pregnant' when people don’t even know I’m in a relationship and then distract from the show.
"And, in my mind, I was like let’s just finish the show so that it can have its moment without any pregnancy malarkey and then we can announce that we’re pregnant.

"And that’s pretty much what we did. The live show wrapped and I went down to Cornwall with my family, told all of them."
Alesha said that she had a "good seamstress" that helped her hide the bump until she was ready to make the announcement, but later joked that the "bill for the tailor that year was quit high".

While the mum-of-two and her other half were comfortable with their choice to keep the news private, not everyone in Alesha's life was happy about about being told so late in her pregnancy as her grandmother was "furious".
The TV judge said: "My Mum knew, Bernadette who works with me, she knew, and a close friend knew but yeah, I kept it quiet."
