Piers Morgan has confirmed that he’s signed a new contract that will see him remain on Good Morning Britain until 2021.

The broadcaster, 55, insisted that he ‘doesn’t care’ about complaints over his no-nonsense interview technique and declared: ‘If my style upsets people, don’t watch!’

It comes amid Ofcom complaints from 4000 viewers over his hard-hitting interviews and hard line of questioning to government ministers, with Piers remaining defiant that he was ‘just doing my job’, to which he won mass support from many.

Here to stay: Piers Morgan has confirmed that he’s signed a new contract that will see him remain on Good Morning Britain until 2021

Speaking The Sun’s TV Mag, Piers revealed that he’ll remain on the ITV morning show alongside co-star Susanna Reid, 49, for the foreseeable.

He said: ‘I’ve just signed a new contract up for GMB until the end of next year. I love working with Susanna and the team – we’re a Ying Yang that works.’

The star said of the backlash: ‘If my style upsets people, don’t watch! Watch something else. Nobody’s forcing anyone to watch it. You’ve got a remote control in your hand, I really don’t understand what the problem is.’

Despite some viewers taking offence over his presenting style, media regulator Ofcom cleared him of all complaints, with Piers adding that only cares about Ofcom grievances if he felt that he was genuinely ‘at fault.’

Going nowhere: The broadcaster, 55, also insisted that he ‘doesn’t care’ about complaints over his no-nonsense interview techniques as he declared: ‘If my style upsets people, don’t watch!’ (pictured with co-star Susanna Reid)

Insisting he was simply doing his job, Piers continued: ‘Ofcom ruled very heavily in my favour, which confirmed my belief that I’m just doing my job. The job of broadcasters, particularly during a crisis like this, is to challenge and ask questions.’

The journalist went on to admit that his ‘frustration’ only comes out on the show when government ministers failed to answer ‘basic questions.’

Meanwhile, though his future on GMB is certain for the time being, the outspoken TV star hasn’t ruled out a different career altogether as he joked his has his eye on being the next James Bond.

Defiant: It comes amid Ofcom complaints from 4000 viewers over his hard-hitting interviews and hard line of questioning to government ministers, with Piers remaining defiant that he was ‘just doing my job’

Dream team: He said: ‘I’ve just signed a new contract up for GMB until the end of next year. I love working with Susanna and the team – we’re a Ying Yang that works’

Piers facetiously mused that he could be a ‘slightly older, slightly silvery fox assassin.’

Piers joined Good Morning Britain in 2015 as a guest host, before going on to a permanent presenter.

He began his career as a journalist on Fleet Street, where he served as writer and editor for several publications including The Sun, News of the World and the Daily Mirror.

He also carved out a career on TV, having stints on America’s Got Talent and Britain’s Got Talent, presenting his hugely popular Life Stories series and winning the US version of Celebrity Apprentice.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, Piers enjoyed a socially-distanced reunion with his eldest son, after spending three months apart due to the UK’s coronavirus lockdown rules.

Cleared: Insisting he was simply doing his job, Piers continued: ‘Ofcom ruled very heavily in my favour, which confirmed my belief that I’m just doing my job’

In an Instagram post, the Good Morning Britain presenter appeared in great spirits as he caught up with Spencer, 26, after being forced to isolate separately.

The host previously joked he’ll be employing two of his kids as a ‘cleaner and an estate agent’ in order to see them, as the Prime Minister announced the nation can now see others from a different household while maintaining a two-metre distanc.

The father-and-son duo flashed thumbs up signs as they enjoyed a refreshing walk in the rare sunshine.

‘Nice to see you again son, albeit from 2 metres. #3MonthReunion’, the media personality, who also shares Stanley, 22, and Albert, 19, with ex-wife Marion Shalloe, captioned his post.

Colin Farrell: Irish A-lister on missing his sons and longing for human touch

We will use your email address only for sending you newsletters. Please see our Privacy Notice for details of your data protection rights.

“When it first happened,” he said, speaking by video link from his Los Angeles home, “I’d just come back from London, where I’d been working. And I went straight from that into two weeks being alone in the house – I don’t have a partner and my two children were with their moms, so I was by myself.” The Irish actor does not want anyone to think he’s bemoaning his lot.

“It really hasn’t been so bad for me,” he points out quickly. “I am very much aware that there are many people who have it so much worse than I do. Not only the people who have been really sick, and those who still are sick, or who have lost loved ones, but also the people who are thinking, ‘Am I going to lose my home?’ or ‘How will I feed my kids?’ or ‘Do I have access to medical attention if I need it?’.

“I hear some people saying, ‘This is the Great Equaliser,’ but that’s bull****, it’s not an equaliser at all. I am fortunate enough to have a home, a fridge full of food and a few bucks in the bank. That makes me a whole lot more fortunate than a lot of people!”

Nevertheless, he is still a human being, and he admits that the enforced isolation has brought its challenges, especially for a naturally sociable man and committed part-time father.

He shares close and amicable custody of both James, 16, and Henry, 10, with their mothers, model Kim Bordenave, and Polishborn actress Alicja Bachleda-Curus.

“Psychologically, there have been ups and downs,” he confesses, of having to self-isolate without them for two weeks.

“I remember after about nine or 10 days, really feeling the absence of touch in my life. And I mean any touch – a handshake with the barista in the coffee shop down the road, a hug with a friend, a high five, a knuckle bump, whatever it may be – and it was very strange. I may have gone a week before in my life without touching anyone – or maybe I haven’t – but when I became aware of it was when it became something that felt very extreme and that I felt I was really, really missing, and really, really lacking.

“And you ask yourself, what does a touch represent? Well, it represents tenderness, it represents human interaction, it represents a sense of community. And I miss it!”

But as the lockdown progressed, Henry was able to move in with his dad for a while. “I have had my youngest boy with me for quite a bit, so that’s been amazing,” he smiles.

Once known for his drinking and womanising, he is now 15 years sober, and knows that has made him a better father.

“Although I don’t know what I’m doing as a parent most of the time,” he admits cheerfully. “I’m just flying by the seat of my pants. I think that – as simple as it sounds – if you are just present and attentive as a parent, and also – as cheesy as this sounds – open to learning from your child, then that’s the best you can do. I think that if you just observe your children, and pay attention to what you see, they will tell you – either through words or through deeds or through energy – pretty much what they need from you. Me and my boys have very open and communicative relationships, and I do feel that, at my age, I have the right to have a couple of opinions on various things which I do share with them.

“But just as I’ve introduced them to the best aspects of myself, I’ve also introduced them, just by virtue of regularly interacting with them, to the most traumatised and damaged aspects of myself. They are both of them there for me, like two samurai masters, there to teach me a lot of stuff.”

That sort of openness is very different from the relationship Farrell had with his own father, football player-turned-health food shop manager Eamon Farrell. “My dad worked very hard all his life,” he says. “He was self-employed and he worked on importing foods and supplying supermarkets around the country of Ireland.

“He was never a great storyteller or a dad who read to us kids (Farrell has three siblings). He was too busy working. He wasn’t very loquacious or verbal in any way, and to be honest I don’t remember too many spoken wisdoms or life lessons from him.

“So anything we learned from him, we learned through observing the kind of man he was, and how hard he worked to provide for his family. And that was the most important lesson of all, because I do think that leading by example is the best way to lead.”

It’s a rather different approach to the one employed by the father he plays in his upcoming film, Artemis Fowl, which is based on the series of young adult novels by Irish novelist Eoin Colfer.

It tells the story of a 12-year-old genius (Ferdia Shaw) who goes in search of his missing father (Farrell), and in doing so stumbles upon an undiscovered world of fairies and fantasy. “It’s not like the stories I grew up with myself,” says the firmly urban Dubliner with a chuckle. “In my household, my parents weren’t really into mythology or literature – my upbringing was more about football and hanging out with my friends!

“So, yes, I do come from a people whose tradition of rich oral storytelling has been recognised all over the world, but for me, it’s more in my blood than my memory, for sure!

“But it was lovely to be part of a story with an Irish writer and Irish actors, so even though we shot it in London, it did feel almost like going home. My boys haven’t read the books yet, they’re still stuck on David Walliams right now, but I’m insisting that they are not going to get to watch this film until the books get read!”

One film no one will be seeing any time soon, frustratingly, is the project Farrell was working on when the pandemic struck, the upcoming Batman film, The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, and Farrell in the iconic role of archvillain The Penguin.

“I had only shot a few days of the film when it was pushed to the side and everybody was sent home. It’s really exciting to be a part of it and I hadn’t even worked with Robert yet, I’d only done a couple of little things before I was sent packing. So hopefully it will get back up and running when everybody feels they can do it safely, and I don’t know when that will be, but I’m ready to get back to work.”

He’s also – just like the rest of us – ready for life to get back to normal. “It’s like, the idea of going to a cinema, you know?” he sighs. “And I know there are bigger things at play in the world right now, but the idea of actually going to a movie theatre… standing in lines at the concessions stand and getting popcorn and a soft drink with my kids, or a friend, or even on my own… It’s those simple banal things that we used to get to experience in our lives every day that I miss.

“I just need to hold on to the idea of the magic that they have provided us, and be grateful for that.”

Madonna Fans Divided Over Her Son David Banda's George Floyd Video

Madonna decided to use her platform in support of the late George Floyd, but it didn’t quite go according to plan. On May 25, video surfaced of Minneapolis police officers subduing Floyd with their knees pressing into his neck, while Floyd said he could not breathe, and later died. The incident highlighted ongoing concerns about police violence.

On May 28, Madonna posted a video of her son David Banda dancing to Michael Jackson’s song “They Don’t Care About Us.” However, responses to the video called out Madonna herself.

David Banda danced in protest of George Floyd’s death and Madonna shared it

People around the world are upset about Floyd’s death so they are speaking out in their own ways. Banda’s form of expression was dance. Jackson released the song in 1995 in response to the violence he saw in that decade, and some of the lyrics go, “Skin head, dead head, everybody gone bad. Situation, aggravation, everybody allegation. In the suite, on the news, everybody dog food. Bang bang, shot dead, everybody’s gone mad.”

The song itself became controversial because later verses included some anti-Semitic slurs. Jackson apologized and changed the lyrics, as well as reissuing the album HIStory. Madonna’s tweet read, “Brutal murder travels around the world my son David Dances to honor and pay tribute to George and His Family and all Acts of Racism and Discrimination that happen on a daily basis in America. #davidbanda #JusticeforGeorgeFloyd #MichaelJackson”

People thought the tweet didn’t help George Floyd or his family at all

Backlash against Madonna and Banda’s protest video took many forms. Some were simply confused, but others accused the singer of being misguided or even willfully selfish. This user found the video performative without actually helping.

“To make it crystal clear to those who don’t understand the negative response from black people to this video,” @thinkkingjay wrote. “In 2020 we are way passed sentimental gestures, dancing to MJ song about race does ABSOLUTELY nothing, like seriously nothing. It may comfort you but not us!”

Author Frederick Joseph criticized the video, but also called on Madonna to put her money where her tweet was.

Reign of April created the #OscarsSoWhite hashtag to protest the exclusion of deserving artists of color in the nominations. April has been tweeting about Floyd and the Minnesota police all week, but she suggested Madonna shouldn’t have said anything at all.

This user wrote, “So your tone deafness extends beyond your music I see.”

Former NBA player Rex Chapman called it “a weird take.”

This user thought Madonna was just seeking attention. “You don’t get it do you Madge?” @67Dogsbody wrote. “This is not a marketing opportunity for you and yours.”

Other Madonna and David Banda fans got the message

Madonna and Banda received some support for their video, because many users thought the message of the Jackson song and Banda’s performance raised awareness for Floyd.

This user defended Madonna and Banda. “It’s a shame to read these comments full of hate,” @SiskaTorben wrote. “Shame on you… Thank you @madonna for voicing your opinion and spreading love. David is so talented. And you always sticking your neck out against sexism homophobia racism… I can go on…”

This user found the message of Jackson’s song still relevant. “Message of the song : they don’t really care about us,” @smapula3 wrote. “Even Michael danced to it. Y’all negative about everything. This vid is not even ment to solve but deliver a message.

This user agreed.  “Thank you Madonna for posting this,” @hellojerome wrote. “Because we know the message behind this song, it is a very powerful choice and it brought tears. Your son is amazingly talented and beautifully expressive. God bless.”

On May 29, Madonna tweeted again in support of people protesting over Floyd’s death.

Kylie Jenner Might Not Be a Billionaire, But She's Still the Richest Kardashian-Jenner Sister

Kylie Jenner isn’t a billionaire after all. The youngest Kardashian-Jenner sibling faked her financial status in order to land a Forbes cover and earn the coveted billionaire designation, a bombshell report in the magazine alleges.

Kylie Jenner’s ‘web of lies’

RELATED: Kylie Jenner Just Lost Her Problematic Billionaire Status and It Gets Even Shadier From There

Over the course of several years, Jenner spun a “web of lies” about her wealth and the success of her company Kylie Cosmetics, according to the business publication, which declared Jenner a self-made billionaire in March 2019. But that assessment was based on tax returns that were likely fake and other misleading information about revenues for Kylie Cosmetics, the magazine now says.

After reviewing financial details made available following Coty’s purchase of 51% of Jenner’s company in November 2019, Forbes reporters realized that revenue from the sale of her famous lip kits was much lower than claimed. That meant that Jenner was not worth as much as previously thought. The magazine also uncovered documents suggesting that Kylie Jenner’s mother Kris Jenner owned a small stake in the business, even though she supposedly owned her entire business outright.

In a series of tweets, Jenner disputed the magazine’s claim she lied about her wealth. “I can name a list of 100 things more important right now than fixating on how much money I have,” the makeup mogul wrote.

Kylie Jenner is still the richest Kardashian-Jenner sister

Based on the new information, Forbes revised its estimate of Jenner’s wealth. She now has an estimated net worth of $900 million. So she’s not a billionaire, but she’s still very wealthy. She’s also still the richest of the Kar-Jenner sisters.

Jenner’s big sister Kim Kardashian West had an estimated net worth of $350 million in 2018, according to Forbes, making her the wealthiest of Kris Jenner’s daughters after Kylie. Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and Kendall Jenner are each worth an estimated $30 to $40 million. Momager Kris Jenner is worth roughly $60 million.

Kanye West is a billionaire

RELATED: Is Kim Kardashian West the Reason Kanye West Is a Billionaire Today?

While Kylie Jenner is not a billionaire, there’s one member of her extended family who is. Jenner’s brother-in-law Kanye West. Forbes finally crowned the rapper a billionaire in April 2020. West had previously claimed the magazine was “snubbing” him by not verifying his billionaire status.

Forbes’ latest analysis found that West earned $140 million from Yeezy sales in 2019. He owns 100% of the business but has an agreement with Adidas to manufacture and sell the sneakers. The company is worth an estimated $1.26 billion, according to the magazine’s estimates. Add in the rest of his assets and subtract mortgages and other liabilities, and West is worth a total of $1.3 billion. But West still insists that figure is inaccurate — he says he’s worth $3.3 billion.

Forbes and West might quibble over the math, but at the moment one thing seems clear: He’s the only billionaire in the extended Kardashian-Jenner clan — for now.

The real reason why Julianne Hough is separating from her husband

Dancing With the Stars alum Julianne Hough and former NHL player Brooks Laich announced their separation on May 29, 2020, after three years of marriage. “We have lovingly and carefully taken the time we have needed to arrive at our decision to separate,” the exes, who wed in July 2017, said in a joint statement to People. “We share an abundance of love and respect for one another and will continue to lead with our hearts from that place. We kindly request your compassion and respect for our privacy moving forward.”

News of the split came amid speculation that the two were on shaky ground. Not only did Hough and Laich quarantine separately during the coronavirus pandemic, but they appeared to be taking long stretches apart in the last year of their marriage. “I’ve been on my own. My husband is in Idaho doing lots of yard work,” she said during an April 2020 Instagram Live for Oprah Magazine. “And so we’re kind of doing our separate things right now, but it’s really been a magical time.”

Now that the breakup is official, some fans are wondering what went wrong here. The answer? It appears a lot of factors were at play.

Sometimes people drift apart

Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich’s loving statement seems to suggest the two aren’t at odds with one another. A source backed this sentiment up to People, revealing that there wasn’t a salacious reason for the split. “It’s over, it’s been over for a while, and it’s time to just call it what it is — and it is over,” a source told the outlet. “There is honestly no ill will. He loves her. She loves him. I can truly say they always will. But they both understand they are not meant to go through their lives as husband and wife to each other.”

The insider explained how Hough is a “deeply different person than she was when they got married,” adding, “She is proud of those differences and changes she’s made and she doesn’t want to go back. He [Laich] is the man he is and he shouldn’t change a thing. But they shouldn’t spend the rest of their lives together — not as spouses, anyway.”

Although it’s sad to see these two go their separate ways, the good news is there are no hard feelings. “They are both on the same page about that now,” the source continued. “It took them a while to get here, but now they both understand that and they are hoping to move forward as deeply loving friends forever who will always be supportive and encouraging of one another.”

Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich are on a path of exploration

Julianne Hough talked to Women’s Health in August 2019 about a conversation she had with Brooks Laich about “not being straight.” She explained to the outlet, “I [told him], ‘You know I’m not straight, right?’ And he was like, ‘I’m sorry what?” I was like, ‘I’m not. But I choose to be with you.'”

The dancer commended Laich’s reaction at the time, sharing, “I was connecting to the woman inside that doesn’t need anything, versus the little girl that looked to him to protect me. I was like, ‘Is he going to love this version of me?’ But the more I dropped into my most authentic self, the more attracted he was to me.”

As for Laich, he has also been on a journey of exploration. “I’ve shared this on this show many times, a big part of my journey in 2020 is exploring my sexuality,” the athlete explained during a January 2020 discussion on his How Men Think podcast (via Refinery 29), which he co-hosts with Gavin DeGraw. He continued, “And by that I don’t mean if I’m gay or straight. I mean, like, in my sexual relationship. What is my sexuality? What am I craving, what are my desires and what are my wife’s?”

It sounds like both Laich and Hough went through an intense period of reflection and change. It’s definitely possible their journeys led them to different places, and that’s OK.

Derek Chauvin, who was fired by the Minneapolis Police Department on Monday along with three other officers involved in Floyd’s detainment, was taken into custody early Friday morning. As we’ve reported, Floyd died while in custody after viral video showed him struggling to breathe with Chauvin’s knee pressed into his neck for at least eight minutes.

Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson’s Sons React to Him Having a Daughter

Party of five! Phil Robertson‘s sons were just as shocked as their father was to learn that they have a 45-year-old sister — but they welcomed her into the dynasty with open arms.

The siblings detailed how they felt about the Duck Dynasty alum, 74, discovering that he had a daughter named Phyliss on the Thursday, May 28, episode of his BlazeTV podcast, “Unashamed.”

Jase Robertson shared that he was the first of his brothers to meet Phyliss at their family’s church, but he wasn’t aware of her identity. He later spoke with her on the phone and developed an instant connection.

“I fight with my family a lot but I got their back,” Jase, 50, explained. “I love them. I’m there for them. So I’d already made that decision. I was ready to go either way. I was gonna love her no matter what. But I was like ‘I really like her,’ which is awesome.”

Jep Robertson added that when he spoke to Phyllis on the phone he told her, “You know, I always wanted a big sister” and that meeting her was “a dream come true.”

Phil— who shares sons Al Robertson, 55, Jase, Willie Robertson, 48, and Jep, 42, with his wife Kay Robertson — learned three months ago that he unknowingly had a daughter.

Al explained earlier in the podcast that he and Jase received a letter “from a woman who said that by a DNA search, she thinks that Dad might be her dad.” However, he didn’t believe her because of his father’s Christian background.

“A few days went by, and then the more I read it, the more I thought, ‘Well, this is something we need to try to figure out,’” Al explained. “My mindset was, I didn’t want to tell Mom and Dad if it wasn’t true because I didn’t want to upset them ‘cause this was a life-changing situation if it was true.”

For Phil, he felt “redemption, reconciliation, love” when he learned about his daughter.

“As it turns out, forty-five years, you have a daughter that you don’t know about, and she has a father she doesn’t know about,”the reality star said. “45 years — that doesn’t sound like very long, but you say, that’s a while. So finally, after all those years, we come together.”

Emma Jaye Wonders If She’s In A ‘Nightmare Or Dream Come True’ In New Song ‘Overtime’

As Emma Jaye can attest, love can leave you ‘running in circles.’ The singer shares her new song with us and shares how it has a special connection to art legend Andy Warhol.

If there’s anything that would make you work well past when your shift ended, it’s romance. Pop songstress Emma Jaye finds herself “caught up” in this labor (of love) dispute in “Overtime,” her brand new track. “Running circles in my mind / I’ve been doing overtime,” sings Emma. “Two times when I think it through / Nightmare or a dream come true / You play games, but I play ‘em too.” Emma delivers a track that is a dreamy slice of pop peppered with a seductive, sinister undertone. This is perfectly captured in the lyric video for the song, featuring a series of lovingly handwritten notes that become stained with blood.

Emma’s creativity isn’t limited to just the lyric video. The official artwork for the single seems like something that one might find at the Museum of Modern Art. As it turns out, that’s intentional. “The ‘Overtime’ artwork is actually an homage to my grandmother Jane (the original Baby Jane) who was one of Andy Warhol’s superstars back in the day,” Emma (aka Emma Holzer) shares EXCLUSIVELY with HollywoodLife. “I’ve always loved art. And I wanted to bring pop art back into the mainstream and honor that part of my history, so I used my art form to accentuate Andy’s.”

For those unaware, Emma’s grandmother, “Baby Jane” Holzer, has been described by NPR as being “bigger than Paris Hilton, had far more elegance than Kim Kardashian and was on tons of magazine covers.” During the 1960s, she was a model and socialite, one who “mesmerized” Warhol. She appeared in many of his art projects, including Soap Opera, Couch, and Camp. This love of the arts clearly was passed down through the generations, with Emma engaging in singing, songwriting, and acting.

“I love acting, but it’s not ‘the’ thing,” she said in a statement. She’s certainly given it a shot, appearing in Boardwalk Empire, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Spring Breakers, and Barely Lethal. Though she’s shined while in front of the camera, she feels her true calling is behind a microphone. “I know for a fact that singing is my destiny.”

“Overtime” marks Emma’s second single of 2020. She previously released “Dumb” in January, a track she said was made “with everyone in mind. … We live in a very strange culture, where people, especially women, are told that they should feel apologetic for feeling totally confident and beautiful. That needs to change, so I wrote a song to try and counteract it. It’s all about feeling confident and beautiful in your own skin.”
