After Years of Searching, I've Finally Found the Perfect White Sneakers

You can catch me wearing white sneakers pretty much any day of the week. There’s something about them that just makes me feel like my outfit is more put together. Throughout the years, I’ve bought so many different styles and brands that I’ve worn down until they need replacing. Time and time again, I tried new ones, because I hadn’t found “the ones” I can’t live without. Then on a whim, I bought the M. Gemi Palestra Minimo Sneakers ($198), and they became my new favorites.

What makes them so special? For me, I love the design. I wanted something that was minimal and brand-less. I found that a lot of similar pairs either had a lot of branding on them or were upward of $400, which I would never spend. The cool design pretty much matches anything, including stretchy comfy pants, my favorite jeans, cute maxi dresses, and even work slacks. The sneakers are also handmade in Italy, making them a quality pair you know will last. Made from real leather, they’re a little stiff when you first get them, but mine broke in quickly. Plus, the rubber sole easily formed to my foot for all-day comfort.

I first tried them a few years ago and loved them so much, I just bought a second pair. If you’re also on the hunt for the perfect everyday choice, then these are worth a try. Keep reading to shop it and few other cute silhouettes from the brand.

I Tried This Outer Banks Star's Skin-Care Routine For My Acne, and It's a Game Changer

I Tried This Outer Banks Star’s Skin-Care Routine For My Acne, and It’s a Game Changer

Outer Banks’s breakout star Madelyn Cline (who plays Sarah Cameron) and I have a lot in common. We both enjoy playing The Sims a little too much, we pull off a gray bandana better than pogue king John B., and we both have a history of struggling with cystic hormonal acne. The latter is exactly why the moment I found her skin-care routine, I knew it’d be worth trying.

Last month, Cline showed off her nighttime routine for Harper’s Bazaar, and since then I’ve watched the video several times, dissecting her techniques. I’ve even watched videos of estheticians break down the regimen and give it two-thumbs up. Even though I knew it all seemed legit, I noticed that there were some things about Cline’s routine that weren’t like mine. For example, I don’t go a day without using an exfoliating toner on my skin, whether it’s packed with AHAs or BHAs. I’ve also never used baby oil to wash my face and I usually wear my vitamin C in the day — not night (i.e., vitamin C doesn’t mix well with acids. See: my love for exfoliating toners). But, since I started social distancing, my skin has become fussier than usual and treating my breakouts has become a top priority, so why not give her routine a shot?

Soon enough, I ordered Cline’s products, dug up an old bandana, and set out to try the kook Cline’s routine. But beware if you try it, too — you might never go back.

Brielle Biermann Slams Critics for Questioning Makeup-Free Selfie

Brielle Biermann insists that she wasn’t wearing makeup in one of her latest Instagram mirror selfies, but not everyone’s convinced that’s what she looks like au naturel.

Stars Without Makeup: See Stars Going Makeup-Free and Loving It!

The 23-year-old Don’t Be Tardy star posted the photo in question on Tuesday, May 26. For the pic, she wore a skimpy pale pink spaghetti strap tank top and styled her hair in a casual bun with loose pieces framing her face.

But the main focus of the photo is the Atlanta resident’s flawless complexion, flushed cheeks and long, defined lashes. She curiously captioned the pic, “No hair extensions no makeup just chillin😎💕🌸.”

Kylie Jenner, Demi Lovato and More Celebs Flash Their Freckled Faces

So when Daily Mail published an article that stated the star is, in fact, wearing makeup, Biermann took to her Instagram Story to refute those claims.

She took a screenshot of the article and wrote a text overlay over it that read, “Hahahha what the f–k. Why would I lie about not having makeup on..?”

The KAB Cosmetics cofounder continued, “Lmao I’m allergic to eyelash extensions so I don’t get them. I literally came from the pool to the spa … if you don’t see me with a full face of makeup I’m not wearing any.”

According to her explanation, the reason why her lashes look so good is because she applies just “a LIL swish of mascara on every day.”

“Thankful for good skin to keep y’all thinking it’s foundation,” she added.

Whether she was wearing makeup or not, Biermann’s fans — and family! — were obsessed with the casual look. “Natural beauty 😍😍,” mom Kim Zolciak commented. “And still beautiful as ever,” wrote a fan.

During the COVID-19 outbreak, Biermann told an Instagram follower that she ditched her hair extensions to give her locks a break while she’s in quarantine.

She also visited her dermatologist, Dr. Doan, to get her lip filler dissolved again in the beginning of May. She previously had them dissolved at the end of January, before getting them re-injected to subtly reshape her pout.

Kate Middleton is styling herself during lockdown thanks to custom-made wardrobe organised into 'seasons' & 'occasions'

KATE Middleton’s schedule may be busier than ever in lockdown – with three kids to look after, two to homeschool and endless royal duties to uphold – but one thing that’s never wavered is her effortlessly stylish wardrobe.

Whether she’s playing bingo with a Welsh care home or chatting to Holly and Phil on This Morning, the Duchess of Cambridge continues to look effortlessly chic and she’s doing it all herself!

⚠️ Read our coronavirus live blog for the latest news & updates

“Kate’s wardrobe at Amner is incredible,” a royal insider tells Fabulous.

“She has a state of the art, well-lit, custom-made walk-in closet which they had installed back in 2015 when they did all the renovations.

“Her clothes are organised by 'seasons' and 'occasions' and carefully hung in see-through covers and on soft padded hangers when they’ve been cleaned and pressed.”

Prior to lockdown, Kate would normally have a team of stylists to help her out for royal events including fashion coordinators Natasha Archer and Virginia Chadwyck-Healy, make-up artist Arabella Preston and hairdressers Richard Ward and Amanda Cook Tucker.

Now though, she’s going with her own intuition and tips she’s picked up along the way.

“Her Amner wardrobe is as pristine as the one they use at Kensington Palace,” the source adds.

“Easily identifiable labels indicate what ‘occasion’ the clothes are for such as ‘Royal engagement,’ ‘Church, ‘Sport’ etc. and records are kept by her assistant and stylist as to exactly what Kate wore to what event and every accessory is photographed and logged too.”

Kate and William, like the majority of the nation, have been following government guidelines and taking lockdown seriously. While their staff may have been stripped back, the pair aren’t afraid to muck in and make life work.

“Kate has not and would never put her stylist or any of her staff in an embarrassing position of locating a favourite piece of clothing during the lockdown pandemic despite all her Zoom calls and charity videos. She has made do with the clothes she has in her Anmer closet,” the insider says.

At a time where supporting the UK has never felt more important, Kate, 38, has been championing British designers wearing the likes of Beulah London, Tabitha Webb, LK Bennett and recycling some of her old wardrobe too.

Keen-eyed Royal fashion enthusiasts have also spotted she’s worn every colour of the rainbow, a symbol of hope and compassion that has been applied to the NHS in support of key workers on the frontline of dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.
