What Michelle Keegan eats for breakfast, lunch & dinner to keep in shape – and why she’s totally ditched red meat

MICHELLE Keegan is famed for her enviable body with the actress often flashing her sculpted abs.

While the 33-year-old’s husband, Mark Wright, regularly posts workout videos showing how he stays in shape, Michelle has previously admitted she hates the gym.

The former Coronation Street star prefers to exercise at home and watches what she eats, so we’ve delved into her daily diet to work out how she maintains her incredible figure.

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but before Michelle eats anything she drinks some water.

“I drink a pint of water every morning when I wake up,” she told Hello, adding she is trying to drink even more.

When she gets to food, she enjoys a classic dish – eggs – with the Brassic star preferring hers scrambled.

She told Women’s Health: “I do like my eggs in the morning, if I was trying to be good I’d have a piece of rye bread with a bit of avocado and scrambled egg whites.

"That would be my perfect breakfast.

"If I was being naughty, but not too naughty, I’d have the same but with some cheese on top. Melted cheese."

She even shared a snap of her dream breakfast to Instagram, and we admit it does look pretty tasty.

Michelle has admitted her favourite part of a photoshoot is the food, as she usually opts for a healthier choice for lunch.

She favours salads, pasta and lean meals, previously shared a photo of her noon meal to Instagram, showing chicken with lime which she simply captioned ‘lunch’.

Michelle told the mag she tends to go for: "Chicken or fish with veg. Lots of rice cakes with hummus. And eggs Benedict."

When it comes to dinner, Michelle doesn’t shy away from fast food at the weekends, saying she’s usually strict during the week so can afford to let her hair down.

If she's having a naughty dinner it's usually McDonald's or a takeaway.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, she said: “I love a Chinese on a Saturday night.

"I never feel guilty when I eat cheat food because if I've been quite strict all week, I feel like I deserve it.”

She added: “I'm a proper foodie, I love my food.”

But you’ll never find her tucking into a steak, as the actress said she’s never been a fan of red meat.

She continued: "I’ve never been one to go out and have a steak, I’ve never craved it.

"Even with a roast dinner, if my mum would serve lamb or beef, I’d always leave it to the side."

Desserts and sweets can be the downfall of anyone trying to eat healthily or stick to a diet, but Michelle has a great way to satisfy her cravings without piling on the pounds.

“If I want a dessert, I always go up and have a spoonful. So I’ve got the taste of it and I just walk away.

“I don’t even get a plate of it,” the Daily Star reported.

Michelle also tries to avoid carbs late at night, as she doesn’t like ‘feeling full’ before bed.

Meanwhile a woman revealed a ‘healthy’ hack which turns grapes into sour candy & it takes seconds.

Plus a mum shared her recipe for Malteser cake & you don’t need to put it in the oven or the fridge.

And this tricky brainteaser asks how quickly you can find the halloumi hiding in the BBQ-themed picture.
