WITH nail salons closed for the foreseeable future, Stacey Solomon decided to quite literally take matters into her own hands.
The TV star, 30, shared online how she had given herself a fresh set of acrylic nails at home during the coronavirus lockdown – and the results are pretty stunning.
In a video on her Instagram Story, the Loose Women panellist revealed to her 3.2m fans exactly how she had given herself the very professional-looking manicure.
Stacey explained: "Ok so last week I found a nail technician who, because she can't go to her clients, is making acrylic stick-on nails measured exactly to your nails in ANY design you want and I could actually cry right now because my nails have been SHOCKING."
The clip showed how the mum-of-three buffed, filed and cleaned her nails before using glue to stick on individual hand-painted acrylic nails she had been sent.
She then posted before and after pictures showing her natural nails, and then the gorgeous result.
Stacey – who had gone a month without getting her nails done – added that the entire process had taken her around 20 minutes.
The star also pointed her followers in the direction of the Instagram account of the nail technician she had used – Kerri Anderson – who is based in south Yorkshire.
It comes as the telly favourite unveiled her DIY haircare station made from an old crate.
She shared a step-by-step video tutorial on her Instagram Story revealing how she had made it – starting by covering up the scuffed, broken sides with a layer of TipEx.
Captioning the clip, Stacey wrote: "Soo I'm keeping my mind busy, trying to make something to hold all my hair bits and bobs.
"This old crate was in the garage, it's a bit broken so I'm using TipEx to cover it."
Once the crate was a uniform shade of white, Stacey then screwed gold hooks into the side and attached a Command Hook to her wall in order to hang it up.
With the crate ready to go, she then got to work filling the storage unit with her hairdryer, comb and brush.
