Karhu’s famous M-symbol was derived from the word “mestari” which means “champion” in Finnish. This symbol has continued to inform Karhu’s approach to footwear throughout the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s.
In-keeping with the brand’s heritage, Karhu now launches the second installment of its “True to Form” pack, this time consisting of two Aria 95 sneakers. Shot by photographer Bram Spaan, the EVA foam midsole has been used to highlight the organic shape of the archetypal letter M, alongside pops of yellow, pink and natural tones.
Both shoes have been crafted using suede and padded mesh, and feature an all-over printed “Aria 95 logo” designed monosock construction. Rope laces have been added to give the shoes an outdoor feel and an all round sturdier aesthetic.
Dropping on November 20, the “True to Form” pack will be available from the Karhu webstore.
