Following on from last month’s Patta collaboration, U.K.-based retailer END. has linked up with adidas Originals for a new take on the Superstar silhouette. Dubbed “Alternative Luxury,” the collaborative sneaker is inspired by contemporary Japanese luxury through a diverse mix of fabrics and colors across the upper.
With a classic white leather base, the sneaker features touches including rebuilt tartan flannel on the tongue, hits of terry cloth and panels in indigo denim. Another reference to the Japanese influence comes through the sashiko-inspired over stitching on the Three Stripe branding.
Rounding out the design is gold foil END. branding on the sidewall and mismatched green and burgundy suede heel tabs. Lastly, the sneaker features the classic adidas Superstar rubber shell toe.
Take a look at the END. x adidas Originals Superstar “Alternative Luxury” in the gallery above. The sneaker is available through a raffle on the END. web store now, with the draw closing on September 19.
