Couple slammed for posting ‘isolation party’ snap ignoring social distancing – but can you spot what’s really going on?

A COUPLE shared a snap of their ‘isolation party’ over the Easter weekend and got slammed for ignoring social distancing rules, until people looked closely at the photo.

Ellie Morley and Simon Evans uploaded a photo of their packed house – and garden – to social media, clearly flouting the minimum two metre distancing.

There are at least 14 people in the photo, having a drink outside, playing cards and happily chatting with one another.

The pair, from Manchester, shared the image to Facebook group Isolation Nation, saying: “Isolation Party!”

The snap racked up hundreds of angry comments, and people criticised the pair for flouting the social distancing rules in place to slow the spread of coronavirus.

Lashing out on Instagram – after the couple shared the party snap to their feeds – one person said: “Really really guys.

“Hope u guys stay well u won’t realize about the situation until u r the victim.”

Another criticised them saying: “How dare you have a party whilst people are dying, shame on you!”

A third raged: “Is this some kind if joke, we are all doing our bit ans ur throwing a party.”

While this person raged: “Can't believe people are still doing things like this!”

But all is not at it seems, as on closer inspection all the partygoers look pretty similar.

It turns out Ellie and Morley painstakingly photoshopping themselves in different positions, changing their clothes each time.

While the image convinced quite a few people, others soon spotted what was really going on.
